This month I have been mostly crap.

I've had a seriously bad cough which has been going on for the last two months (not exaggerating, just ask my work colleagues who've taken to wearing ear plugs)

On top of that I've received numerous physical pains.....mainly from bowling BUT! they're still there, hurting and so they count...

THEN I've been lumbered with the lergy.

YAY!

The girl who I've been training up for work made a comment about my health the other day and the rest of my mates said they'll be celebrating as soon as I'm able to walk into work in a complete bill of health. Here I would like to point out I've taken the humerous approach and just found comedy in most the stuff that's been happening to me physically : D

SO

If you want to know if I ever do reach the stage of actually staying alive in this world, please come see

SUPER
http://www.meanwhiledotdotdot.com/

Which will involve much spandex wearing, one ended fighting, binties and...um...did I already mention spandex?

You can also....well...see if I reach that stage at the Parliament for those of you out there who are larpers...But Super involves...less...freezing and dying of death (for some anyway - oh god I've just jinked it haven't I-)

My health and I look forward to seeing you there : D

*note: the writer of this entry would like to apologise for general ramblingness due to cold infested brain.*

Things have been manic, things have been crazy, things are finally coming to a place where I can rub my hands, dust off my clothes and say 'RIGHT! Let's get to work properly'

A moment for romantic cheese : ) )
I don't know if people have already done this...if you have then a huge thank you!
If you have blogs, webpages, anything like that, I would love for you to add something about the Super production to keep getting word around. If you want a picture to put up there, let me know and I will happily send you materials.

It seems that obtaining tickets from the box office can be a challenge, so be patient when you do so as you'll get it in the end. If you DO have trouble getting tickets, please let me know and I'll sort it for you!!

If anyone you know is interested in the play and wants to see more details about them, direct them to:

http://www.meanwhiledotdotdot.com/

As this website is designed to hold ALL the information regarding the play

MUCH LOVE!

Thought I'd turn my yearly update into a plug for this May (7-10 May...make a note of it people!).
It promises to be a great little show and you'll have hours of entertainment as I spent much of my time 'I say'ing and 'how topping'...ing as Daisy

Crash space is available as we will have moved into a bigger place by then, so don't worry about travelling back, and the new place is allocated just a few minutes from Ealing Broadway station.

Would be lovely to see you guys there!

It's time to break out the hockey sticks and join Daisy, who, despite being from a lower class background, has won a scholarship to attend Grangewood school, a very upperclass school for girls from rich, well-to-do families.Together with her new best friend Trixie, our heroine is about to discover that Grangewood holds secrets of 'treasure and adventure'! Performed in our usual fun, tongue-in-cheek style, "Daisy Pulls it off" promises to be a right rip-roaring romp!

If you have read my previous entry to this one, you'll understand this next bit:

Now, just had a read through today for the script, and it's dawned on me just HOW much I have to learn within the next 8 weeks. Let's just say silent panic set in.

The reason I ask for help is the following: Due to the many monologues, plus duologues I need to learn, I'm thinking the best way to learn the words and be off book asap, is, recording them onto a dictaphone (voice recorder thingy) and playing it back until I'm literally dreaming of the words.
(the author of this delightful play thought it would be rather a laugh to put in as much description as physically possible. This now means I need to learn all these descriptions as most of them are now cues for the rest of the cast. Ack)

So my request is the following; Does anyone know of any good model which 1) they know is reliable 2) won't make my wallet cry bitterly.
Although I'll mainly be using it for this play, I'm thinking it may be a useful item to have around the house, so the cheaper the better really, but I want it to be a model that will work for at least 8 weeks!

Any advice would be very much appreciated. I'm looking into buying one by Wednesday cos the sooner the better. We don't have rehearsals next week and I'd like to use that time wisely.

Thanks in advance.

*waits for the mass of snuffled giggling to die down*

...no this isn't sudo porn I'm referring to. It is in fact the play in which Daisy Meredith, an elementary school girl who receives a scholarship to enter a prectigious educational establishment (oh yes), enters a treasure hunt quest...thing with her best gal pal Trixie, to help save her dear school, during which other girls who've taken a disliking to her, do everything in their power to run her out of the school.

It has been described as a 'jolly hockey sticks' play and is the latest play to be put together by Purple Theatre.

This is the first of a few announcements I will be putting on here as I'd love it if people could make it down and see it, as I will be reverting to my true mental age (pre-teens) and playing the part of Daisy herself.....indeed

So if you fancy coming down and watching a group of girls get into a bit of a pickle, encounter twists and turns and generally have a bit of a laf, come on down!

Dates: 7th-10th May

(more information will be put up later)

*sigh*

The sigh above, is not just a small sigh.
It's a sigh of intense relief
It's a sigh of having endured months of trudgery and having finally pulled through.

Well, that's one New Years resolution down...about 5 or so more to go. This is the first New Year's resolution I've actually pulled through with

I'd have to say mine for the coming year are:

1 - get a new job
2 - get a new place for Jan
3 - try and maintain a tidy place
4 - write more
5 - draw more

Of course there are a couple of others, but we'll see

Enlighten me people...what're your resolutions for the coming year?

I've e-mailed most people, but I'm lacking e-mail addresses and since I'm still trying to work out how to put images up  on Facebook to send out, I figured the best thing to do for now was upgrade to plus (the free version as not quite affording paying for this yet) and wishing a very Happy Christmas to all of you via this little picture below.

Hope you all have a terrific one!
